Pusat Pendidikan Karakter dan Pengembangan Karir (PPKPK) LP3MP Universitas Trunojoyo Madura (UTM) menggelar FGD pemetaan kompetensi lulusan berdasarkan signal pasar kerja di tiga kota di Madura, yakni Sampang, Pamekasan dan Sumenep (17 – 19 September 2021) yang dihadiri oleh sebagian alumni UTM dengan protokol kesehatan. Kegiatan ini menghadirkan narasumber utama dari stakeholder antara lain industri, intansi pemerintah dan wirausahawan. Mereka memberikan gambaran kompetensi yang relevan untuk dunia usaha dan dunia industri (DUDI).
Selain itu, acara ini juga memaparkan hasil sementara Tracer Study (TS) 2021. TS menjadi instrumen pengumpul data rekam jejak alumni serta dirancang untuk mendapatkan umpan balik dari mereka mengenai relevansi kompetensi yang mereka peroleh saat kuliah dengan kebutuhan DUDI saat ini. TS edisi 2021 ditujukan bagi lulusan periode wisuda 2019 dan 2020. Pada kesempatan ini pula PPK menyediakan sejumlah info dan layanan karir yang bisa dimanfaatkan alumni.
Ketua PPKPK, Ach. Khozaimi, memaparkan urgensi Tracer Study dan dua kurikulum PPKPK, yaitu Kurikulum Pengembangan Karir untuk mempersiapkan karir mahasiswa mulai dari tahun pertama sampai tahun ke empat sesaat setelah mahasiswa yudisium. “pada kurikulum pengembangan karir ini, kami mulai memetakan minat bakat mahasiswa pada tahun pertama, melakukan pembinaan pada tahun ke 2 dan ke 3. sedangkan pada tahun ke 4 dilakukan pembekalan dan pendampingan sesuai minat mahasiswa, apakah mereka akan melanjutkan studi, berwirausaha atau berkarir di perusahaan yang diminati” papar Khozaimi.
Khozaimi juga memaparkan kurikulum pendidikan karakter yang dikenal dengan UTM APiK, yaitu amanah, peduli dan kreatif, sehingga para lulusan UTM tidak hanya matang dalam hard skill namun juga memiliki nilai nilai karakter yang baik yang bisa menyertai langkahnya menuju karir impiannya.
Hasil FGD di tiga wilayah merumuskan beberapa rekomendasi dari alumni & stakeholder, antara lain penguatan peran ikatan alumni UTM, pembuatan database alumni, serta pendampingan bagi alumni terutama bagi alumni fresh graduate.
